Yes. Brian you are right. In the words of Eminem. "I wish I had a big enough arse for the whole world to kiss". Ironic isn't it? I have become hateful of my society because I must feel insecure or threatened myself. Hate is the daughter of confusion and the Uncle of social decay. I hate our country's insipid politics. I hate the way we try to fight other countries wars. I hate the lies of politicians and the way they try to fool us with 'spin'. I hate the impotence of this country to deal with the proper provision of health care and reduce street crime. The flagrant waste of tax payers money on crap local councils, lame social services and constant restructuring and departmentalisation.

We saw what has happened this week in Madrid. The most callous and vile atrocity. Ten bombs set off by mobile phones in a packed rush hour train. 200 dead and thousands injured and hundreds, fighting for their life, still dying, from lost limbs, burns and multi organ failure. It now materialises that the finger of accusation points to the cloven hoofed Al Qaeda and not the centuries old squabbling Basque separatists.

Yes, Madrid citizens in their myriad’s turned out after the event to protest against this rank and particularly vicious genocide. Now, as you say, the good and righteous of society become outraged, but by this time, it is all too late. Yes, it proves that the majority strive to be caring. That 99 percent of all individuals feel nothing more than deep sorrow and human disgust at such unpardonable perversities. But what is it, missing in their lives to commit such evil?

What is the point of this type of asymmetrical warfare? Easy. It is the most effective and unpredictable type of assault on humanity that cannot be defeated. Suicide bombing is the ugly cousin of liberal politics in my view. We, as you very aptly describe, sit in the 'left' wings of our simpering society whispering with cupped hands to our mouths speaking feeble nothingness. Oh, Bush and Blair preach equality and freedom and then the coalition wreaks havoc on weaker nations? How can we preserve peace and security when the rights of others are abused through further aggression?

Our love of land and oil has got in the way of that freedom a bit. Bin Laden is no longer conspicuous by his absence.

The main issue with all this is a simple one. Ever since Cain slew Abel it was about 'possession'.

Cain wanted Abel's brand new animal skin he was waiting to wear for a date with his sister.

Man has fought for possessions and land, since. Christendom is the largest landowner in history to present, either directly or indirectly. The Vatican owns a great chunk of Soho. Somewhat of a paradox, but fact. Take any war, at anytime, (I won't bore you with a list) it is about 'landownership'. The Americans have got this off pat the first time they slaughtered Northern Indian tribes trying to stake their claims. What another incomprehensible irony. They wiped indigenous tribes because they were 'settlers.' Isn't that a strange adjective for people who managed to practically make the buffalo extinct too? A bit like 'traffic calming" road systems that make you late for work, and
Lose your rag! America thinks it can stroll into any country and build a log cabin and a coral.

The fact is, none of us own land or property. Not our houses. Not our driveway even. It's all 'on lease' until we die. My point is this. If we all gave up 'ownership' and lived on the land as equals there would be nothing to loot or steal. Ideally I would love to swap progress for a blank canvas. It's not going to happen unless we meet Armageddon.

We need to get rid of this 'have and 'have not' culture.

How the West was Lost

Like a hopeless addict you get a country dependent on your arms deals and trade, then when they are hooked and want to use them antisocially the dominant country strips them of their capability.

What about the West's military capability? Who should confiscate their abuse of weaponry over hundreds of years?

When the cabaret goes 'pearshaped' and the crowd starts to heckle and 'boo', Tony Blair slips out the fire exit still insisting he can act without a proper script.

The Insanity

We as individuals do very little to stop the scourge of this type of 'deathdealing' because we don't know how. With all the military hard ware, reconnaissance and nuclear capability we are powerless to halt it. The West has caused this plague of suicide bombing by its arrogance and neglect of the International community. Its economic greed and self satisfying. To stop terrorism you have to stop the Globalisation. It will destroy all future generations. Imperialism and capitalism are not bad things until it deprives others of a slice of the pie.

Suicide bombing is the ultimate sacrifice to the fundamentalist. A final ceremonious act of faith and to the glory to Almighty God. Like handing a bouquet to Allah.

But suicide in this country just a few years ago was a crime. In fact for a thousand years people who 'topped' themselves were once refused a Christian burial and had their remains buried at crossroads along with thieves or highwaymen. So, who ever God is supposed to be, I wish he would make his mind up.

Suicide bombing is the ultimate selfish act and attention seeking to the extreme. Its not about killing innocent people. Its about getting noticed. Not only do you take you own life but as many others as you can with you. Does any God want that sort of sympathy? I mean, should he be so insecure to need these kind of displays? If God thinks that we are all going to bow down to him when he wants us to perform these sick party tricks then don't expect the rest of heathendom to take their shoes off at the door.

Question? Exactly how many wars were fought in the name of Paganism? This belief system is a lot older than Christianity and frankly makes a lot more sense.

Group therapy

You see, extremist religious or political activists are people who commit injurious deeds for one reason and one reason only. All rational thought has been replaced by an interference to their thought patterns. They have become psychotic through what they feed their mind on. It is just as likely a pedophile will molest a child because of the information his mind processes. I mean child pornography . Not through mental illness or mind altering drugs. Rather, these very dangerous ideologies are propagated on a 'crowd comfort' basis. Or? Indoctrination.

The cure to the planets worse ills in the ideal scenario would be to rid it of all religion. Or to 'control' religious 'fervour' as we do the economy. Nobody cares what a Jehovah's Witness believes until a baby dies for want of a blood transfusion? See my point? You can't ban it so just like we have hypnotists to stop us from smoking or to help us eat less, we should hypnotise every person on the planet with the use of multimedia. You could police this with volunteers and your social worker. The entire population could get a dose of interactive 'brainwashing' in between 'Hollyoaks' and the lottery results so as not to disrupt their lives too much. People involved with the local 'neighbourhood watch' could come in and make sure you have your thought patterns interfered with, over a cup of Lady grey and flapjack.

Starting with people who have very dodgy religions make them sit for ten minutes a day in front of a computer that tells them to be nice people and not do anything silly. With the reminder or strict instructions to go to a car boot sale or the pub, instead of Church.

The ordinary media has been 'hypnotising' us for years anyway. Supermarkets have long lines of colourful flashes and inaudible sounds to help you slip into a trancelike state. How many times do you go in there for some chewing gum and condoms and come out with a toothbrush and a can of mushy peas? Checkout girls are subjected to this 'coma inducing' environment for longer periods. That's why they have that calm look of resignation all the time that sweeps over them like the barcode scanner.

The new place of worship

Why do you think the most popular Sunday edition is as fat as the Bible now? My Observer has more information than a Citizens Advice Bureau in just one supplement. No wonder people don't go to church on a Sunday anymore. Who wants to interrupt Steve Wright's Sunday Lovesong with some Calvinist with a flower arranging wife?

We are all too busy reading about all the holidays we can't afford. Or some exclusive on a famous person nobody knows about yet, but has bedded half the Monarchy. Glossy periodicals, telling you what to wear or watch on TV. What and where to eat? How to decorate? How to enjoy sex or be a good parent, but preferably on separate occasions.

We just invite all the population of Arab countries to the 'Superbowl' (in several sittings obviously) and have Bill Gates with his posh new laptop bring up "100 ways to stop you the urge to wear a ruch-sack-full of plastic explosive" and display it on the giant screen. Or for less IT literate countries who know very little about explosives and more about recycling. "A 100 ways to stop you washing you hair in camel piss."

Seriously. We all like to obey the highway code. The works employment act. We even have instructions for DIY or to open a bank account. Agreements or contracts are always on paper. But we memorise most of part of that information? Our car insurance, or mortgage details. We know what our medical prescription is for. Why? Because, suck knowledge is for our personal protection and welfare.

Why not allow harmless hypnotists with the aid of some software, starting with our own children in schools? Render them unconscious in between lapses of concentration anyway. When the charismatic hosts snap their fingers, thoughts of surviving on benefit when they leave school, will fill our offspring with revulsion. Staying up late to fill your house with other 'oiks' will subliminally terrify them. Why? Because, they have just been subjected to a 'reality check' via 'thought reprocessing'.

"Amway" do this all the time. My plan is to get as many terrorists into the habit of flipcharts, motivational tapes and a lifetime supply of 'petsafe' patio cleaner. If they get reprogrammed properly they can tell their suicide bomber friends to come along to a meeting to learn about the value of multi level marketing and the promise of owning a yacht and a Ferrari 'Testosterone' instead of blowing up people for the rival network. Or, Al Qaeda.

They can fill their pockets with home care and beauty products instead of Semtex.

There is nothing new about terrorism. Guy Fawkes started it. If we want to stop negative indoctrination we have to use positive indoctrination via whatever means. I know this feeds an argument about losing free will. But you must forfeit your own freedom if you take it away from others. Mind control is only subliminal education.

I know you will have a mental picture of automatons milling around with a blank look on their faces. That's why Homebase staff will never be a threat to society.

If you conduct terrorism by brainwashing and 'autosuggestion' you can stop it in a productive, rather than destructive way too.

Charles Manson used methods of 'love bombing' to get results. We can just use a simple daily diet of neuro-linguistic-messaging.

Finally, Brian, religion feeds fear by indoctrinating people with images of hellfire and winged demons. As the famous quote from Jack Nicholson in the film "Anger Management" observed, "How can a guy like Buddha weighing 360 pounds teach me anything about self-discipline?
